Why do you work so hard?

"Work smart, not hard"

How many times have you heard that term during your career? Although you are proud to be a hard worker, but your main goal should be to work more productively and efficiently, thus providing an empty time for you to get away from the Office.

I personally know very well that this is easier said than done. We are a hard working naturally. But great ideas don't come on a work desk or at the Office. Some of the ideas often appear at moments that are not suspected as when on vacation or when cycling. This only happens when we merecharge back to mind and rekindle our passion.

Today, sophisticated technology, mobile applications, gadgets, and cloud-based productivity tools should be able to make everyone work smarter, by making use of advances in technology to improve the efficiency, productivity and results .

But according to the last survey conducted by the PGi, or 88% of workers work more than 40 hours per week and the tradition of work from 9 to 5 is gone already. The results of the survey make a Pgi launched a campaign, #TakeBack60, which is dedicated to a provider of productivity tips, technology resources and the balance of life to help people get back 60 minutes each week.
People increasingly often sacrifice family time, hobbies, fitness and others to meet the deadline or doing some other task.

Isn't all this technology is supposed to make things faster, easier, and more efficient? So why is everyone working harder than before?

The technology is not as intelligent as what conceivable people

One part of the problem is not technology applied in our lives in a way that is smart. The technology has the potential to make the job faster, easier, and more efficient. But the technology itself is not smart enough to distinguish between what is possible and what is best for you individually. In addition, apps and gadgets can accumulate more work on you and provide the information to you anywhere, anytime, and technology still need your input to be really valuable. Input required varies, ranging from choosing an intuitive tools to handle notifications on your phone

In short, the technology can do something quickly, but still require interaction with humans (at least for now).

The point is to reduce the burden of the work, you must change the philosophy and behavior when using technology. Think of all the things you can do at this time without having to be tied to a desk. For example, you can read and send email, download and edit documents, manage the project and workflow, even do a virtual meeting from anyplace. By using this technology are "smart", you will save a lot of time and effort, so that your work can be completed quickly.
